Overview

"Urip Gawe Urup", in life, do good deeds. This ancient Javanese principle is the heart of our direct philanthropy work.

We believe that sustainable impact requires more than money, it requires presence, relationships, and consistency. That's why our team doesn't just donate from a distance. We show up. We visit the orphanages we support. We sit with the children in the libraries we fund. We hold the animals we rescue.

Our philanthropy covers three areas: education through scholarships and community libraries, social welfare through orphanage support and food programs, and animal welfare through rescue, shelter, veterinary care, and rehoming.

Objectives

Collecting and delivering essential donations to orphanages, helping provide children with a safe, caring, and supportive environment.
Support orphanages and community care homes through donations and volunteering
Fund and operate community libraries to improve literacy
Supporting disability homes and organizations by channeling donations that promote inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities.

Activities

Bringing Smiles to Pondok Damai

In June 2024, DTobing Foundation had the privilege of supporting Pondok Damai by fulfilling the wishes of the children through community donations. Every contribution, no matter how small, helped bring comfort and happiness to their daily lives. Among the donated items, the children's greatest excitement came from receiving chocolate sprinkles—a simple treat that quickly became the highlight of the day. Their genuine joy served as a meaningful reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how modest, can create lasting memories. We are deeply grateful to everyone whose generosity made this initiative possible and helped brighten the lives of the children at Pondok Damai.

Supporting Elderly Care Homes

Together with our donors and partners, we deliver essential donations to elderly care homes, ensuring that seniors receive the care, comfort, and support they deserve. Every contribution reflects our shared commitment to creating a more compassionate community.

Supporting Rumah Singgah Kasih Ampera

In July 2021, DTobing Foundation had the opportunity to support Rumah Singgah Kasih Ampera, a care home founded by Ibu Lim (Mama Anna), whose unwavering dedication has transformed the lives of countless individuals in need. For over nine years, the home has provided a safe and nurturing environment for young adults with Down syndrome, autism, intellectual disabilities, and other special needs. Beyond caring for its residents, Rumah Singgah Kasih Ampera also extends its support to the surrounding community by providing regular meals, clothing, and medical assistance to elderly individuals and waste pickers in the area. Through community donations and collective generosity, we are honored to contribute to their mission of creating a more inclusive, compassionate, and dignified future for those who need it most.
